A seasoned traveler and skilled photographer, Paulette Hurdlik has published numerous travel articles in newspaper and magazines.

She has recently published a major book on black masking traditions in New Orleans. Travel books include Cuba, Tuscany, Minnesota, Malta, Morocco, Sardinia, New York and Myanmar (formerly known as Burma).

Her thematic books include a collection of portraits taken around the world called “About Face”and another featuring world signage. “Girl Talk” is an irreverent anthology of women facing the camera and being themselves.

Paulette's interest in travel photography was ignited during the 15 years she owned and operated a company offering organized tours in Europe and Latin America. Since then her interest in undiscovered corners of the world has nearly gotten out of control.

A trained graphic designer and chronic entrepreneur, Paulette founded Zehno Cross Media Communications in 1985. Through this combination of businesses Paulette brings to CultureThirst an unusual combination of entrepreneurial vision, business sophistication and creative approaches to marketing communications strategies and tools.

Her work takes her to many far flung places. No matter the challenge she always keeps in mind her motto, "It seemed like a good idea at the time."
